The food industry accounts for up to a third of all global emissions. We need to reduce the climate impact of food to reach the UN’s climate goals, and to achieve this we need to make more informed food choices.

Here at Pullman Jumeirah Lakes Towers, we want to be part of the solution and guide our guests to more climate-friendly eating. We have partnered with Klimato to reduce food-related emissions by calculating the carbon footprint of each meal. We are proud to offer climate-labeled menus to inspire our guests to choose meals that both taste good and contribute to reducing the climate impact of food.

Our dishes are presented with a climate label showing their carbon footprint, as well as an indication of whether the dish has a low, medium, or high climate impact. An average lunch or dinner in the UK has a carbon footprint of 1.6kg CO2e. To reach the UN’s climate goals, this figure needs to be an average of 0.5kg CO2e by 2050. Choose a dish with a low climate impact to eat within the planetary boundaries and help us reach the UN’s climate goals.
